Mica V-rings and bushings
Composition
The are manually processed. They are made from heat-forming mica on the base impregnated with a shellac resin or alkyd-vinyl resin. They are made in various forms and dimensions, under various conditions, according to the customer’s drawings and requirements.
Special characteristics
They have excellent electrical, thermal and mechanical properties; are rigid, bear high mechanical forces and combined stress effects under normal and abnormal operating conditions. Virtually homogeneous moisture-resistant structure, good cutting resistance, bears dielectric strength tests of 6kV/mm during 1 minute, and also meets the requirements of VDE 0332 (1961) and DIN 57332.
Quality maintenance
Each mica V-ring and bushing is toughly checked and tested for dielectric strength, insulation resistance, dimensions etc. on modern equipment before final packing and shipment.
Packing
Each mica V-ring and bushing is wrapped with polyethylene separately and packed in a cardboard box and packaging product intended for transportation by sea.
Available options
The minimum internal diameter is 10 mm (3/4 inch) for the engines, the maximum internal diameter is 712 mm (28 inches) for high-voltage traction motors.
Note:
It is important that a customer provides the drawings indicating the dimensions and such details as an internal and outer diameter, wall thickness, inside diameter, slope size, degree of inclination, as well as indicating the precise requirements for cost proposal.
Application: High voltage commutators, traction motors, DC equipment. They are attached at both end surfaces of the steel triangular straight edges of the commutator for insulating and separation of copper elements from the supporting structure.
