Mica paper

Mica paper is represented by a roll paper made hydromechanically or chemically of the selected muscovite, phlogopite or synthetic mica. It has excellent electrical and thermal resistance properties, fast resin impregnation and high noncapillary porosity.

It is suitable for the manufacture of sheet insulating materials impregnating with epoxide resin and silicone resin. It also is suitable for the manufacture of roll or strip thermal insulating materials combining them with binders (epoxide resin, silicone resin etc.) and base materials (glass fiber, film, ceramic fiber etc.)

Mica-based insulating materials

Mica-based insulating material is a paper made of muscovite mica, phlogopite mica or, as an alternative, synthetic mica, based on non-alkalic glass fiber, stainless or non-textile fabric mesh, impregnated with heat-resistant silicone resin. In this case mica is combined with other materials, that provides good insulating properties – not only low heat transfer but an excellent anti-seismic insulation which makes it possible to use such parts in an oven for heating by power current, an oven for heating by moderate frequency power or arc furnace, as well as a gasket material instead of asbestos for most of the industries including motor, shipbuilding, oil or chemical one.
