SMOG mica
SMOG: S – mica, M – muscovite; O – edge-surfaced; G – hydrothermal
Edge-surfaced muscovite mica is designed for water columns of high-pressure boilers as hydrothermal insulation.
Basic parameters and dimensions:
- Edge-surfaced mica is represented by rectangular plates (the plates).
- The length of the plates shall not exceed 220 mm (according to GOST 13752-86
in fact, delivery of bigger plates is also possible), the width of the plates is not more than 36 mm. Nominal dimensions of the plates are set as agreed by a customer and a manufacturer. - Nominal width of the plates is ± 0,25 mm.
- Edge-surfaced mica shall be manufactured by SMOG grade.
Conventional value of the plates shall include a grade, nominal dimensions and designation of the current standard.

Note:
An observation part of the plate is considered a part 4 mm wide which is located symmetrically to the roll axis.
Finger marks on the surface are not considered as a contamination.
Edge-surfaced mica shall have smooth or slightly-undulating surface.
SMOG plates are packed with gaskets for leak tightness.
SMOE and SMOP mica
SMOE and SMOP mica is designed for thermoelectric insulation of the sensing element of resistant thermometers (SMOE), as well as for observation windows of industrial furnaces and household equipment (SMOP).
Edge-surfaced mica is represented by rectangular plates. It is designed for thermoelectric insulation of the sensing element of resistant thermometers, as well as for phlogopite mica and muscovite edge-surfaced mica, designed for observation windows of industrial furnaces and household equipment.
Edge-surfaced mica is manufactured by SMOE, SMOP and SFOP grades.
S – mica
M – muscovite
F – phlogopite
O – edge-surfaced
E – thermal elements
P – observation windows of industrial furnaces and household equipment.
The maximum dimensions and permitted deviations from the nominal dimensions of the plates shall not exceed the values indicated in the table.

Mica plates SMOSHCH
SMOSHCH: S – mica; M – muscovite; O – edge-surfaced; SHCH – for brush holding plates.
Edge-surfaced mica is represented by squared shape plates. It is designed for electrical insulation of brush holding plates for high-voltage electrical machines.
The plate length shall be not above 100 mm, width – not above 50 mm. Nominal dimensions of plates are determined as agreed by a consumer and a manufacturer.
Nominal thickness of the plates is 0,04 mm

This products are designed for electrical insulation of brush holding plates of high-voltage electrical machines.
